finding the U in
Judaism
Cantor Rebecca Gladstone
My Mission
My mission is to guide individuals in rediscovering and redefining a positive relationship with Judaism through music, inclusive rituals and life cycle events, and compassionate leadership.
I cultivate inclusive environments where every Jewish person feels acknowledged, embraced, and deeply connected, nurturing a profound sense of belonging and purpose.
Embracing diversity and flexibility, I inspire individuals to craft their own authentic Jewish practices beyond traditional synagogue settings. Together, let's prioritize personal growth and your unique journey within Judaism, placing the “u” in J(u)daism and nurturing a community rooted in shared values and personal development.
Services
-
I bring warmth, accessibility, and musicality to Shabbat and holiday services—whether stepping in as a substitute or leading for special events. I’m experienced in creating inclusive, spiritually resonant prayer experiences with both traditional nusach and contemporary melodies, and I’m comfortable collaborating with clergy, choirs, and instrumentalists. Available for one-time services, seasonal support, or special programs.
-
Family and children’s Shabbat and holiday services are designed to be engaging, inclusive, and developmentally appropriate—filled with music, movement, and meaning. Drawing from my background as a music therapist and educator, I create warm, participatory experiences where children feel welcomed, families feel connected, and Jewish tradition comes to life.
Whether it’s Tot Shabbat, family High Holiday services, or a special holiday celebration, I weave together prayer, storytelling, instruments, and song to help young learners build a joyful connection to Jewish life.
-
I bring a warm, inclusive, and customized approach to every ceremony, honoring tradition while embracing each student’s unique journey.
Whether your family is deeply rooted in Jewish practice or exploring your connection in new ways, you are welcome here. I specialize in working with all kinds of learners—including neurodivergent kids and those with unique educational or sensory needs—and will collaborate with you to create a ceremony that is accessible, joyful, and true to who your child is.
-
I specialize in creating ceremonies that are emotionally resonant, inclusive, and deeply personal.
Whether you’re seeking a traditional Jewish ceremony, an interfaith celebration, or something entirely your own, I will work with you to co-create a meaningful ritual that honors your story, values, and community.
-
I will work with your family to offer guidance in choosing a Hebrew name and creating a ceremony that feels right for you. My ceremonies are rooted in finding meaning in bestowing a name and inclusive to interfaith or untraditional families.
-
As a music therapist and cantor, I am skilled in creating a safe environment where people feel comfortable and healed by music. I create an individualized, meaningful, and musical service to honor the individual and provide a safe space for the family to grieve. The service will be Jewish in the way that the family sees fit whether it means incorporating spirituality, traditions and customs, or particular melodies.
Let’s create your perfect Jewish ceremony, shall we?
No matter how you Jewish, I’ve got you covered.
