welcome to
GLAD 2 BE JEWISH
where everyone’s Jewish enough.

My Mission
Have you ever felt “imposter syndrome” in Judaism? You feel like you don’t know enough, don’t do enough, don’t connect enough? Me too!
Through all of the work I do, from my podcast, to my children’s book, to my Jewish services: my goal is to promote the mindset that “everyone’s Jewish enough.” There is no such thing as “Very Jewish,” or “Barely Jewish.” If you identify as Jewish, you’re Jewish! Period.
I am passionate about creating access to Jewish traditions and education that is inclusive, easily digestible, meaningful, and beautiful: no matter what that means to you. My name is Rebecca Gladstone, and I am Glad 2 Be Jewish.
Services
-
Limited availability to sing and lead shabbat and holiday services at congregations, synagogues, and personal services.
-
I create educational, meaningful, engaging, and fun Jewish experiences for the whole family no matter how they identify to Judaism.
-
For families who do not belong to a congregation, send their child to Hebrew School, or want to have a service at the synagogue. I will teach the Bar/Bat mitzvah customized to their interests and the family's values on the time frame that works for you! The ceremony can be conducted at the party venue, at home, or at a destination! For students interested in music or who play an instrument we can incorporate that as well :)
-
Jewish and Interfaith weddings performed the way YOU want. Whether you want to incorporate religious aspects of Judaism or just the basic traditions. I'll work with you to find what is most meaningful for you.
-
For families who want to do a baby naming at home or at a venue on their own terms. I create a unique and meaningful ceremony based on the family and their own traditions.
-
As a music therapist and cantor, I am skilled in creating a safe environment where people feel comfortable and healed by music. I create an individualized, meaningful, and musical service to honor the individual and provide a safe space for the family to grieve. The service will be Jewish in the way that the family sees fit whether it means incorporating spirituality, traditions and customs, or particular melodies.
Let’s create your perfect Jewish ceremony, shall we?
No matter how you Jewish, I’ve got you covered.
